Scope

This privacy policy statement aims at explaining the type, scope and purpose of gathering personal data carried out by us, the Ruhrzerspanung GmbH & Co. KG CNC-Präzision. We take the protection of personal data seriously and handle it with confidentiality according to the legal data protection regulations.

The handling of personal data

The user may fully use our website without deliberately disclosing any personal data. When contacting us individually, information, which might indicate an identity (e.g. email address, phone number, mail address etc.). In this case, stating such personal data is done voluntarily. This data is stored and handled with confidentiality according to the legal data protection regulations. This means that this data is not passed on to any third parties. The provided information will only be used for the sole purpose of the contact.

Server log files

Even if the internet offer is used without deliberately stating personal data, each browser automatically transmits information which is stored in so-called server log files set up by our provider on our web server. This data comprises:

• The user’s IP address
• Date and time of retrieval
• Type and version of browser
• The user’s operating system
• The enquired file
• The transmitted amount of data
• Referrer URL (previously visited internet page)
• Notification on whether the retrieval has been successful

Theoretically we are able to track the user’s identity via the IP address. We would like to point out, though, that we by no means intend to do so. However, we reserve the rights to record the aforementioned data on our web server for a maximum of nine weeks. If there is reason to believe that our internet offer has been used illegally, we are able to check these records afterwards. Primarily, data storage of the statistical and anonymous analysis is done for operational purposes. In that case, the IP address is not considered and will be anonymized by an ‘x’ in the records after just seven days.

Enquiry about and deletion and blocking of personal data

The user has the right to obtain information about their saved personal data at any time, free of charge. Additionally, the user may have the personal data corrected, deleted or blocked unless this interferes with any legal obligations to preserve data. Also, the user may get into contact with us by using the information provided in the imprint.

Objection to junk mails

We would like to point out that we explicitly object to using data in our internet offer for the unsolicited transmission of advertising and information materials. We explicitly reserve the rights to take legal action in case of the unsolicited transmission of advertising information via spam mails, for example.
